Please Remember…

Posted by johnmarr on February 26, 2008

There were a few small issues that have come up this week, and I wanted to touch base with everyone to make sure that we are all on the same page.

First, please remember that we cannot accept checks or credit cards for bag tags.  If you are going to sign up for the challenge please have $10 in cash when you stop by Midtowne

I know that a few people have mentioned that the folks who work the night shifts at Midtowne are not aware of the Bag Tag/unable to sell tags.  90% of the time you stop by Midtowne there is going to be someone there who can sell you a tag, unfortunately if you stop by during that other 10% you are probably going to be facing someone who will have no idea what you are talking about. Please be patient, we are trying to get everyone up to speed.  If you or anyone you know runs into any issues with purchasing a tag please let us know we will try to fix it ASAP.

Finally,  please make sure that everyone verbally agrees to the terms of a match (wagering tags / side bets / match-play vs. stroke-play / etc…) before a round begins.  I know it seems like a really simple thing, but just to avoid any disagreements after a round is over, always make sure that everyone agrees before the start of a round.

One last thing:

HAVE FUN – IT’S JUST A GAME!

    Hey Guys,

Do we have a set rule in place if there is a tie for a tag on the course? Some people shoot 18 again and others go back to 16 or 17 and play through. She this be decided at the beginning of the match as well?

    Thanks,

What we’ve said is that the person with the higher tag picks the first playoff hole. If the two players tie that whole as well, the player with the lower tag picks the next playoff hole. I have a feeling the 16, 17, and 18 will end being used for playoff holes because of their convience but the rule is that the higher tag can choose any hole on the course.

Tim, it’s actually the lower tag that gets to choose.

true, I meant the “higher” tag in the golf sense that a 2 is better (higher) than a 3. Good catch, it was confusing the way I put it, much like golf scoring…more is better no matter what. I don’t know what was wrong with the Scottish, probably liberals.
